Please welcome Strength & Conditioning Coach Brian Young!!

Brian was born and raised in Ann Arbor, MI and has always competed in all sports from a youngster till now.  He excelled in basketball and baseball through his pre-teen years and was recognized as an all-area talent in both sports.  Brian attended Pioneer High School from 1996-2000 and is a very proud member of the 1999 Class A State Champions basketball team!  His passion for basketball was able to earn him a scholarship to Pfeiffer University (NC) and after 2 successful years playing for a nationally ranked Pfeiffer team, Brian finished his career at Barton College (NC).  It was during these experiences that Brian realized his true passion for performance training and how an athlete can maximize the potential of their body!
In 2006, Brian became Certified as a Personal Trainer in 2005 through the American Council on Exercise (A.C.E.), a Certified Nutrition Counselor and a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach certified through the U.S.A Weightlifting Association.  From here, Brian began his personal training career and business by opening BYBF Training Studio locally in Ann Arbor, MI.
BYBF has successfully opened 3 separate locations, expanded to a 12 person team of fitness professionals and most notably worked with other local businesses and corporations to provide employee wellness solutions. From 2008-2013, BYBF was the fitness provider for the Eastern Michigan University Rec/IM including all students, staff & faculty.

Currently Brian is dedicated to the passions, goals and growth of DSO Sports and plans to enjoy sharing his life-long knowledge and experiences to better prepare DSO Sports athletes for success and the next level.
